I have come to know a lot of Persians in the course of the decades, they are completely different from all the people of the "Islamic World" surrounding them, they are mostly so open, interested in many things, "enlightened"....whereas people from all those "Islamic countries" appear mostly "dull" by comparison—stifled, authoritarian or submissive, mostly resembling trained automatons. It is such a disgrace what has been done to the magnificent Persian Culture; I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will manage to free themselves—or be liberated. That is unlikely to happen with Trump, though; he has hardly any interest in genuine culture.
